Tequila Review: Casamigos Reposado Tequila

Casamigos Tequila was created by a group of friends that didn't intend for it to go public. They just wanted to create the best-tasting Tequila that didn't need to be covered up by salt or lime. George Clooney, Rande Gerber, and Mike Meldman set out to create this just for themselves with the help of their master distiller in Jalisco Mexico.

Inside the glass, after the pour, it had a nice yellow-lemon color.

The nose produced a light/medium intensity. It was strong with the cherry filling, pie crust candied fruit, and lemon scents. Overall the smell brought me back to a kid eating a cherry toaster strudel with vanilla icing on it.

The Palate had a short to medium finish with some complexity. The cherry came out on the taste along with honey, herbal, vanilla icing, and produced a mint tingly feel in your mouth at the finish.

To say we were surprised by the flavors in this tequila would be an understatement. This was an excellent reposado Tequila that we will definitely keep on hand and look forward to their anejo and may try their mezcal as well.
