Distiller's Top Glass To Taste Spirits

So why the Glencairn glass? This glass is great if you are in the spirits business because its shape and size allow for a distiller to get the most out of the aromas of the spirit they are producing. Similar to how a good wine glass allows the wine drinker to effectively nose a wine the Glencairn does the same for spirits. I find that this glass is best suited for drinking spirits neat as opposed to on the rocks. It will hold some ice but it is a rather small glass.
