Key Limen

We tried several wines at the Panama City Beach Winery while we were there. This post we will discuss the Key Limen. Made with key limes, this wine will remind you more of a margarita than a key lime pie. It was light and fresh and due to the lack of tannins in the fruit wine you could have a bottle of this wine with less of a hangover than having four margaritas and how can you not see that as a bonus

This was a clear white wine.

The nose was strong on the key lime with hints of a margarita.

The palate was short and simple that had the key lime and margarita notes.

For anyone that enjoys a classic margarita on the rocks, this is a great wine. Chill it up and have a couple of glasses. You could even get a slushie mix from Florida Groves Winery (the parent company to Panama City Beach Winery) add a bottle of wine and make a frozen margarita with it as well.
