Gin Review: Hendricks Lunar

The second offering from the cabinet of curiosities by Hendrick's is the Lunar gin. This was created by Master Distiller Ms. Lesley Gracie and her garden that would bloom at night. It is made using 11 botanicals that bloom at night under the moon's glow. Not much is known about the detailed botanical list and the proportions but that is how Hendrick's handles their gin.

As with the majority of gins, this was crystal clear.

The nose produced a light intensity with juniper, floral, and citrus notes.

The palate was a light-medium finish that was simple. Like all gins, it had the juniper flavor, citrus, herbs, pepper, and florals coming in at the end. This smooth finish had a little bit of a tingle at the end.

This was an excellent gin to have on our bar shelf. It works wonderfully with tonic water on a warm summer evening. I would recommend you try it and see it for yourself.
